Photos and videos that you take are stored on your device. So, if something happens, you could possibley lose these precious memories.
If you sync your photos to iCloud Photos (Apple’s computers on the Internet), you will automatically have a copy stored online. Apple provides 5GB of free space for storing photos. If you exceed this limit, you can purchase more storage for a small monthly fee.
Alternatively, you could install Google Photos from the App Store and backup your photos to your Google Account. Google provides up to 15GB of free space shared between Photos, Email and Google Drive. To learn more about Google Photos, check out our tutorial on this topic!
Ultimately photo management and preservation can get very technical. Therefore, depending on your needs, you may wish to engage someone with the appropriate expertise.
